IJM Praesidium brings together experience gained across the British Army, Metropolitan Police and professional close protection, providing a broad understanding of security from both operational and client-focused perspectives.
That experience extends from supporting high-net-worth individuals and families, corporate clients and public figures, through to major European events and deployments within challenging and hostile environments in the Middle East.
It has shaped a simple principle: effective protection is not about creating an imposing presence. It is about understanding risk, anticipating problems and putting the right people and measures in place without unnecessarily disrupting the lives of those being protected.

IJM Praesidium was established after years of working alongside clients, protection teams and other security providers, taking the strongest elements of those experiences and developing a service built around individual requirements rather than a standard package.
Our approach combines intelligence-led risk assessment, careful planning and professional judgement with something equally important — the ability to work comfortably around people.
Whether protecting an individual, family, residence, corporate environment or event, the objective remains the same: to create the safest practical environment while allowing life and business to continue as naturally as possible.
OUR PEOPLE
The right people

Assignments are personally led by IJM Praesidium, with additional personnel selected according to the specific requirement.
Our close protection personnel are appropriately SIA licensed, vetted and insured, with advanced medical training appropriate to their roles. Where an assignment requires additional capabilities, personnel may also bring specialist training and experience including surveillance, drone operations and hostile-environment deployments.
We do not believe in simply filling positions. Wherever additional personnel are required, selection considers experience, qualifications, previous working relationships and, importantly, whether the individual is the right fit for the client and the environment.

We take a holistic approach to security, considering the individual, their environment, movements, routines and wider circumstances. Requirements are assessed and analysed before appropriate strategies are developed and implemented.
Depending on the assignment, that may extend beyond conventional close protection to include capabilities such as surveillance or behavioural observation within crowded environments and events.
Plans can change. Environments change. People change. The ability to recognise those changes and respond appropriately is fundamental to effective protection.
